Face Grinding Surface Quality of High Volume Fraction SiCp/Al Composite Materials

Abstract The existing research on SiC p /Al composite machining mainly focuses the parameters or surface morphology. However, quality of composites with a high volume fraction has not been extensively studied. In this study, 32 specimens were prepared and their measured. was then tested effect grinding analyzed. comprehensively analyzed taking force, friction coefficient, roughness as evaluation standards. best obtained by analyzing results show that, higher spindle speed should be chosen to obtain better quality. final is related roughness, fragmentation degree well quantity distribution defects. Lower feeding amount, lower depth appropriately balance grind efficiently This study proposes systematic method, which can used guide fraction.
